Those images are really great, and they look very professional! I certainly do not posess image-processing software skills of any kind. Same goes with the Wanted: Farscape posters, although most of the time I just read the forum messages, and don't post very often.

I took an art history class last year that covered some of Russian propaganda art from the 20th century, and your images definitely remind me of the propaganda images I saw a year ago, same colors and severity of the "person" pictured.

Ratscape, those are so good they are a little scary. Especially the Braca stuff. Could be right out of WWII propaganda. They are really VERY heavy on the impact, and I think they are GREAT!

I just hope everyone gets it and we don't wind up getting pinged for somehow identifying with "Space Nazis"... though on the other hand nobody every got into any trouble for associating with Imperial Stormtroopers, as a I recall.

That's just a bit of hard learned paranoia -- when stuff isn't "mainstream" sometimes it gets villified unfairly -- like Dungeons & Dragons back when I played and wrote an article for Dragon Magazine. There were some local religious zealots who wanted the stuff banned from school property and other sanctions...

One place I worked, somebody got called on a wave that somebody mistook for a "Heil" motion.... the guy was in NO way a fascist. Absolutely nuts.

I got a couple of ideas for more propaganda
If (only if, no prssure) you are going to make more PK propaganda, I wanted to suggest making a 'Grayza wants you' one. kinda like uncle sam wants you, BUT instead of her pointing, she's motioning with her index finger for the viewer 'to come here' (do you know what I mean?). Kinda gives 'Grayza wants you' a double entendre. LOL

just wanted to suggets a PK Propaganda with the PK tech girl. there is a nice piture of her in the Farscape season 1 discussion board.

And Darth Buddha, you make an interesting point. These propaganda posters were really intended to be somewhat humorous. Especially the Braca ones-- they were inspired by a tongue-in-cheek "Hail Braca" movement brought on by a few of the scapers back in September. Anyway, I don't think these images will get much notice beyond these boards, but I do think any publicity is good publicity. I remember the D&D uproar you mentioned. Similar thing happened with the Harry Potter books and movies. That kind of publicity kept those names in front of the public eye better than any PR plan could. But I understand your concerns... so Scapers, please use with discretion.

Jeff, I'm almost finished with the 88 Wanted posters. I've got 3 or 4 to go (need to count them again. ha). I've got an Aeryn piece on the back-burner, along the same lines of the Zhaan illustration in this thread (a softer look). I'll get back on that one after the 88. Try this out. Get the full image up on your screen then stand as far back from it as possible and squint your eyes. See anything yet? Or copy the file to your hard drive and reduce the image size in a layout program.

I promise it's not one of those posters that you have to cross one eye and stare at the top left corner for half an hour to finally see a whale at play in the Pacific! :)

I think it's an images that some people will get immediately and others might not see it until the 3rd or 4th look. ...Or maybe it's just me. Ha.

OMG! I didn't want to say anything at first, but I was kind of relieved when Jeff posted saying he didn't know what it was either!

I stared and stared and nothing happened so I took your advice, Ratscape, and shrank it in Photoshop. I was dragging the corner of the image making it smaller and smaller and then I jumped, literally. I was like "it's sooooooooooo obvious now!"

I'm not sure if there's a hand slapping against forehead smilie or better know as "Duh!" or "D'oh!" smilie, but this was the closest I could find to my reaction :g2f:

It's easier to see if you look at it from farther back. It's part of an image, you're not supposed to see a complete picture.

I had to look 7-8 times and get a hint from Ratscape before I could figure it out. Some people say it just jumps out at them, it's never had that effect on me. But follow Alexxia's advise and think of it as a small cutout of a larger image. You might have to print it out, lay it out on a table and stand back for you to see it.
