Hey Scapers!!!
I have volunteered the use of my paypal account for the purpose of collecting donations for a birthday gift for Ms. Black! The specifics are unknown to me, but I do know they have something to do with chocolate! Rumor has it, she is an avowed chocolate fan;) That said, let's show Ms. Black just how much she means to the Scaper community!! If you are interested in sending some birthday cheer, follow the link & make a donation!

unfortunately your account will not accept international credit cards. is there any other way to make a donation?
I faced the same problem when attempting to contribute to the save farscape fund.

Kali can you not sign up under a US account? I know back in the early days before the other countries were brought in I was able to get my card registered okay on the US one..

Sorry for not getting back to anyone earlier today! Frelling employer views ANY internet use as a reason to terminate someone:( I usually have my proxy Scaper (vikingscaper) to update me, but looks like he didn't come through this time.
On what we are sending:
Beats me, I'm just the bank. I'll defer to the more learned chocolate addicts out there.
As to where we stand:
$115.00
*As of 08:00 PM CST
As to how long I'll take collections:
12:00 AM CST
On the foreign payment thing:
I have no idea how to fix that. Sorry.
On the zip code:
54024
54810
54001
55119
*All valid US zip codes
*Anything after that time will be split between the various funds.

Okay, as it looks like we might give this to Claudia at the con, I'm going to price getting a mosaic made into a poster size print. That & the chocolate can be the gift, as it looks like we will have plenty of money. Can anyone doctor up the mosaic with a birthday wish?

Check out the thread in the off topic board. I recommended the Max Brenner Chocolate Lovers Box. I'm not a chocolate addict, but no one else is giving any suggestions. I also have a link to it...you can take a look at it if you like.
I don't think at this point we're actually going to get it to her on her birthday...our best bet is to give it to the people who can give it to her at the convention, or send it c/o henson at this point, maybe they could send it to her house, and she can get it when she gets back to Australia. But this means we can relax a little...I still think you should stop collecting funds at midnight, cause, if we're doing chocolate, I don't know that we'll find anything that costs more that $115. But we can take our time and figure out the best way to get it to her, maybe wait to see if other people want to offer suggestions as to the type of chocolate...maybe we could do a vote...maybe that's making things more complicated than it needs to be...what do you think?

what matters is the gesture you guys. she's going to be touched whether it reaches her "in time" or not. i mean think about it...perfect strangers buying someone a birthday gift. i personally would be floored.
you guys rock.

I volunteer to take it all to the con.
*Currently working on some modifications to the plan (ie an early gift for Ben).
