or perhaps also the lines to make you cheer but all those lines that when you read them and sigh with remeberance.

John: You know what scares the hell out of me? From the first moment I layed eyes on you, I could never see the end.
Aeryn: What scares me is I always could

Aeryn: It is my duty, my breeding. Since birth. It's what I am.
John: You can be more.

Aeryn: I am irreversibly contaminated. Now do you know who I am?
Crais: Aeryn Sun.
Aeryn: Does this contaminate you, Crais?
Crais: As a Peacekeeper, you took a blood oath to obey your commanding officer. Till death.
Aeryn: Yes.
Crais: I am still your commanding officer.
Aeryn: But I am no longer a Peacekeeper.
Crais: You are a Peacekeeper for life. On the oath you-
Aeryn: Your oath means nothing to me! You made sure of that. You destroyed everything. I lost everything because of you. You know what I learned while I was away from you? Everything I lost isn't worth a damn, and I don't want to go back to your past.
Crais: I order you-
Aeryn: You order me? You will never order me again.
Crais: I will track you down and kill you, Officer Sun. On that I give you my vow.
Aeryn: You know what I give you, Crais? Your life. I will make you watch your life know.

Aeryn: I don't know what you're talking about, but there's never been anything that we couldn't overcome together.
John: Except each other.
Aeryn: I can't come to the wedding.
John: I want you there.
Aeryn: Don't be absurd.
John: I need you there. Aeryn, don't you think that there are things to say?
Aeryn: At this point what else can we say except good-bye.
John: You're right, you're always right.
(Aeryn leaves)
John: Bye.

ok that is enough for now

Aeryn: You can have anything you want, anything.
Crais: Aeryn Sun are you offering yourself? Crichton, if he's alive, must mean a great deal to you.
Aeryn: You can take what you want and I won't stop you.

(John enters near the hangar where FS1 is housed; armed guards are nearby. He walks into the medical area and sees a soldier lying on the floor. He bends down to check on him as Aeryn approaches behind him. She crouches down and aims a rifle at John's head. He turns to face her, still kneeling.)

AERYN: Did I kill him?

JOHN: No.

(They share a look.)

AERYN: Are you with me...or them?

JOHN: (without hesitating) I'm with you, Aeryn. Trust me, and put down the gun.

(Aeryn hesitates a second, then lowers her weapon. John touches her knee.)

JOHN: They know you're out?

AERYN: They took D'Argo somewhere and when the guard came back for me, I was ready for him.

JOHN: Where'd they take him?

AERYN: I don't know, but I'm not waiting for them to come back.

JOHN: All right, then. Let's move.

(Zhaan finds Crichton in Tahleen's place for unity.)

Zhaan: Where is she?

Crichton: The part of `Tahleen' in tonight's unity will be played by John Crichton.

Zhaan: You wish to share unity with me?

Crichton: You guys are always going on about how hot it is, I thought I'd give it a go.

Zhaan: This is not sex. The fusion of our two minds would surely kill you.

Crichton: Not if you're careful. I hear you can protect me...if you want to.

Zhaan: I see no purpose to this union.

(Zhaan turns to leave.)

Crichton: Buck buck buckawk! (Crichton makes chicken squawks.) Your translator microbes handle that one?

Zhaan: Although...I have always wondered what could possibly go on in there...

Crichton: Not a lot. I'm a guy. (Pause.) C'mon, Zhaan. What are you afraid of?

(Zhaan grabs Crichton's head and she begins unity.)

Zhaan: Take my head. Our two spirits will pass into each other until we inhabit a single consciousness. (Pause.) Too late to be afraid. Move into me.

Crichton: Oh, my. What is that?

Zhaan: Unity.

Crichton (laughing): It's like...Disney on acid. Like ten years of really great sex all at the same time. (Pause.) Oh, god. What is...what is that?

Zhaan: The core of my soul. The part of me that's capable of murder.

Crichton: What-what's happening? What-what's happening to me?

Zhaan: There is something else, John. Do not absorb any of my rage.

Crichton: Alright. Alright. (Pause.) Alright.

Zhaan: We must separate now, John. I don't know how much longer I can protect you.

Crichton: No. There's something in me that you need to see. Look at yourself as I see you. Gentle. Giving. That's you, Zhaan. Tahleen can't take that, and she didn't. You're still that Pa'u. Follow me, Zhaan. See what I see. Build on that peace. Be pure again.

(Crichton and Zhaan separate.)

Crichton: Zhaan! Zhaan! Fight it. Fight all the things that betray you. (Pause.) Zhaan!

(Zhaan's eyes finally turn blue again, and the scene ends with her head in John's lap.)

I would NEVER admit to crying but if i did it would be this scene -

3.22 DOG WITH TWO BONES
WRITTEN BY - David Kemper
DIRECTED BY - Andrew Prowse

The crew encounters a hostile Leviathan while trying to lay their friend to rest. Crichton and Aeryn must decide the fate of their love as the rest of the crew prepares to go their separate ways.

*shortly before this scene ends Crichton offers a coin toss to decide whether Aeryn to leave or stay...

Crichton - Aeryn... anywhere in the universe, you pick the planet...
Aeryn - ...it's too late for that.
Crichton - It's not too late!
Aeryn - NO, You're not listening, It's too late for Me!
Crichton - You do this and we'll never see eachother ever again.

(Aeryn turns her back to John)

Aeryn - Do you Love Aeryn Sun?
Crichton - ...beyond hope...
Aeryn - Then don't make me say goodbye and don't make me stay...

(John stands there for a moment then turns and walks away. Aeryn starts kicking equipment in a fit of emotion. Aeryn, visibly distraught, sits down and looks at Critchton who has stopped to watch her. She notices the coin on the ground, gets up and kicks it over to him. He looks at it, looks at her, then picks up the coin. They walk over to eachother looking at eachother intently. Crichton flips the coin into the air and Aeryn looks up. John doesn't, he just looks at Aeryn...

Cut to the next scene - John is in his module... alone... )

Maveric - watched Dog With Two Bones on the weekend again - it is my #1 Farscape episode - but that scene always does me in. Perfect in so many ways and emotionally draining. The use of the soundtrack is also very emotional. :(

Quite possibly the single best line in a show with great lines. I teared up a little... I can admit that.

I also like most lines coming from Scorpius.

Zhaan: If I am so needed and so valued and so wise then you will honor my words. You will obey me. For the longest time I feared physical demise because my spiritual essence was suspect. But now I know I'm worthy. Now I know the transgressions have melted from my soul. Now I know I shall meet my goddess and be accepted to her bosom. Sensitive D'Argo, exuberant Chiana, wise Rygel, selfless Aeryn, innocent Crichton. My children, my teachers, my loves, there is no guilt, there is no blame, only what is meant to be. Grow through your mistakes and know that if patient redemption will find you.

John: Wait for the wheel.

Zhaan: Thank you John Crichton.

::John Kisses Aeryn::
John: Now what does that tastes like?
Aeryn: Yesterday.
John: Nobody can compete with that. I am so much better dead.

Just the resigned half smile John says that last line with, gets you in the gut every time.

The Dog with Two Bones scene is going to make me cry just reading it. That was the most emotionally charged scene. It was so sad and made me so mad. Honestly, I didn't get to see the end of season 3 until season 4 was done. Then I played marathon catch up via tapes people were nice enough to send. After that ep I had to watch the beginning of season 4 and I have to admit that I was dissapointed. That didn't last long because season four didn't take long to get good.

From Green Eyed Monster...

"You see that one, that's that star right there. It's my point of reference, my guide, and it always becomes the center of my chart. I always name it Aeryn." - John

That always gets an "Awwww" and a tear or two!

Every single time. Even when reading the line.

Also - The Locket, after Aeryn has died & John takes the locket from around Aeryn's neck & opens it you hear Aeryn's voice..
"Take a look inside. You'll see his image. The only love of my life" John opens the locket, sees his face and goes completely to pieces.

A couple things:

The scream when Aeryn dies. Then the funeral scene. I am not a crier, and that gets to me every darn time.

When Zhaan dies. That's just as bad.

Spoiler Space for season 4

I think it's in prayer...when they're going to remove Aeryn's baby and the things stab into her and she screams....ahhh!

Its not lines but the exchanges without words that get me. To me they are the most powerful.

In Fractures when Aeryn comes off the transport pod to see Moya John for the first time since Talyn John died.

My heart is already breaking as John looks like he's literally going to jump out of his skin with anticipation. The only thing he says is "There's a familiar face." All Aeryn says is: "Hello John". But by the time he gets to the next line "What's wrong?" I'm a complete mess...every time.

Edited to add: Then Crais answers: "The other Crichton is dead." The swirling emotions presented in silence are fantastic. He's got it all going on there. :signbravo

As Aeryn said in Green Eyed Monster: "You are like a plague, John Crichton, and you have ruined my life...And yet I just... keep coming back."

I want more!

oh my...the Farscape lines...i love them. I love the lines, i love the silences, i love Farscape.

All the lines above are great, here's another scene that i absolutely love.

Aeryn: "S... so, it's over."

John looks at her, then away: "It's over."

Aeryn: "There's nothing more between us." She turns her eyes up, to look at his face. He smiles at her, a lopsided grin.

John whispers: "Nothing."

Aeryn smiles and her eyes crinkle up. There are tears in the corners that don't fall. She bites her lip and then grins, hugely. John laughs to himself and grins. He looks back at her and they kiss. Aeryn reaches up and puts her arm around his neck. As they seperate, they grin at each other and touch noses. Aeryn silently mouths: "I love you." They kiss again.

Another one of my favorites but that might not qualify here cause it has zero dialogue is the last scene in LATP Part 3. Where John and Aeryn test their compatibility with the tongue thing :P i really like that scene

Abso-fweaking-lutely beautiful scene.

The lack of dialogue enhances this scene tremendously.

Their dialogue scenes are wonderful, but you don't need dialogue when you have Ben and Claudia.

this is without out doubt the line that always makes me cry

"don't worry about me, i've never felt better"

now i know what your gonna say, two other people have already mentioned it, but ive seen that epiosode so many time and it never fails to make to shed a tear!

the only other episode that even comes close is the end of bad timing:

Aeryn: you and your timing
John: i love you

AND THEN THEY JUST STAY THERE! THEY DONT BOTHER LEAPING OUT THE WAY, THEY JUST SPEND WHAT THEY KNOW WILL BE THEIR LAST MOMENTS KISSING EACH OTHER, HOW CAN YOU TOP THAT? ITS LIKE THE GREATEST LOVE EVER!!! THEY COULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE, BUT NO, THEY HAVE REACHED WHAT WILL EB THEIR HAPPIEST MOMENT, AND THEY ENJOY IT, SCREW THE SHIP FIRING AT THEM, THERES ALWAYS GONNA BE SOMETHING IN THE WAY......as john says to the universe at large earlier in that episode "frell you".......man i love that!

The ONLY other type of movie or show that can make me cry are kids' movies. Lilo and Stitch, The Fox and the Hound...they make me cry every time. For some reason, grown up movies never make me cry.

These are the two that made me cry:

John: I'm sorry you never got to meet my dad, my real dad. Sorry I never met your dad. I'm sorry about a lot of things.
Aeryn: Don't be. I don't want you to go that way.
John: I won't. Huh.
Aeryn: What?
John: They say, it's a lucky or unambitious man who goes when he's ready. That said, Scorpious is gone. I'm at peace. I don't hurt. I…I did some good things. I'm proud of my life and I'm with you. (they kiss) Don't worry about me. I've never felt better. (he dies)
~Icarus Abides

John: We do this time. You see you leave and then you come back and I can't handle the in between. Aeryn, say good-bye.
Aeryn: Fine. Good-bye Crichton.
John: (grabs her) John. My name is John. Good-bye John to my face.
Aeryn: (shoving him) Guarantee you won't die in my arms again.
John: (shoving her back) Guarantee you won't die in mine.
~Dog With Two Bones

And Zhaan's sacrifice - that entire scene had me in literal tears.

from Xhalax Sun: "So close... and then to lose it all in an instant. I've heard... loved ones leave you in pieces... that little by little you start to forget things about them, but that's not true. You lose them... everything, instantly, and suddenly nothing can replace them. Nothing."
Aeryn: "I'm just an ignorant warrior who believes love means you're willing to fight and die for your fellow living beings
John: Hi honey. Guess what I did at work today? I wore a bomb. A nuclear bomb in a field of flowers. I could get lucky. Tomorrow I could have a bigger bomb. I could kill more people. Maybe they'll be innocent people. Children, maybe.
Aeryn: Thank you. A warrior cannot die in battle he can at least die alone
John: One other thing, Dad. You remember the day I left, you told me that every man has a chance to be his own kind of hero. Well, I don't think I'm ever coming home, so I won't get that ticker tape parade. And I don't think I'm ever going to have kids, so I won't get a chance to be a hero to them. But I think I know what you meant. I've got... A strange life here, Dad. It's different. But it's my own. I have people who rely on me. People who I care about. People who mystify me and people who've become allies. Friends. And people who teach me patience, and people who teach me other things. Well, you said the time would come, and I think it has. I have a job to do. And I am unafraid. That's what you said when they asked you what it was like to walk on the moon. You did good, Dad. You taught me well. This is John Crichton. Somewhere in the universe
Aeryn: "You once said it was as if the fates meant for us to be together...if it's true we will be together again".
John "Running away is not fate Aeryn. Running away is running away"
Aeryn: "Just make a frelling wormhole and go home"
John: "There is no wormhole. There is no home. There's only you".
" You set me up. Not that I care. I don't care about much. War...death...wormholes. I don't care about the things you care about. The Peacekeepers rule the Scarrans. The Scarrans rule the Peacekeepers. Let them rule together. Put your ass in a cage. I only care about one thing. One. God have mercy on my soul. I think I am going to need your help, Mr. Scarran half breed, to get Aeryn back. Help me get her, and I will give you wormholes. I have an idea how to find the Scarran base. Aeryn for wormholes. DMD - Aeryn's funeral

ZHAAN: The goddess graciously receives to her bosom, all those who pass from this existence regardless of faith or belief.

ZHAAN: She holds, however, a special place for those who travel this life as a journey.

ZHAAN: Aeryn Sun ... will surely harvest that favor. Her life was a series of strides toward enlightment. Casting off the chains of prejudice and hatred.

ZHAAN: Reaching beyond violence and bigotry. She sought a balance of lasting inner peace.

ZHAAN: In her name.

RYGEL: You are more worthy of this.

RYGEL: At peace... Aeryn.

ZHAAN: May the Goddess receive you with charity.

STARK: Ahmet.

ZHAAN: May the Goddess sanctify your sprit.

STARK: Ahmet.

D'ARGO: Ahmet.

ZHAAN: May the Goddess purify your soul.

STARK: Ahmet.

ZHAAN: May the Goddess recite your name on the whispers of the wind.

STARK: Ahmet.

CHIANA: Ahmet.

CRICHTON: Amen.

Along with the most fantastic piece of music, for me, this is almost as emotional as the TJohn death scene.

100% agreed. These are the episodes that really set up Farscape. It was far enough into the series to get the real feel of the show with all the elements, but not so far that you couldn't catch up.

Aeryn: "Just make a frelling wormhole and go home!"

John: "There is no home, there is no wormhole there's only yo...."

Then he stops. Covers his eyes, almost breaks, and re-iterates what he almost came out with, slightly changing it.

This line gets me because he almost lays his heart and soul out to her. He catches himself, but it's almost too late.....

I read the dialogue/scene thing from "LATP" part 3, and "The Loclet", When he couldn't go back into stone to be a father in 80 yrs, I was crying, but the scene between him and his daughter, I was balling...

The Locket, too bad Aeryn didn't remember, or John's picture in the locket wasn't recognizable, that would have been good,

Too bad, they don't have a complete season 3 box set, that would be perfect....

Nice job Encata, now I'm near tears instead of doing my English homework!!!!!:bawl:

But just to add to the thread, my most emotional moment would have to be the end of 4th season, when they turned into pixie dust. Remember I called you immediately and I was like :eek4:

Okay another one...
Don't know if it has been mentioned...

And John realizes what he's done!

I was walking around this morning, and started quoting Harvey from Promises. I quoted Claudia Black as Harvey when John is in the cold room. S/he says, "But you'll never be lonely-whether I'm here...or here...or in a grave on Arnessk, or in a cell on Moya, you'll never be rid of me."
When I said that, it hit me that it was said in the ep when Harvey died. He was so cinfident earlier in the ep that he would always be with John, and then he dies. I almost burst out crying right then and there.
