Regional/local groups: an ad project that is priced just right

Regional/small groups: each one of you can place a free ad in the cragslist.org (http://craigslist.org) local community section that geographically is nearest you. Craigslist is popular with the young and trendy, so buzz potential is pretty good there. I have had several people from different areas recommend them for looking for an apartment and other things, so people do indeed use this site.

Expand on what I posted: Advertise the mini, your local group, and your Meetups all in one place! Be careful not to spam them; look to make sure no one has placed an ad already, and make sure only one for each group gets posted. PM me if you place an ad, and I'll put a notication/your screenname next to the city to show it's claimed.

Put it in the general section in the appropriate category.

Suggestions: Use rave review quotes from the newspaper/publication nearest your area as a headline. Keep it professional and clean, and run it through a spellcheck (I made that boo-boo the first time!). Ads must be copyright-safe...it's best to not use images in this kind of ad. Let them click through to farwhat.com and let the site do to talking!

I'm thinking about spamming flyers all over campus with individual phrases from that ad. Apparently we can print 1000 pages to the school printers.... :devil:

Just updated the post with he areas that have been claimed.

Posting ads by Friday afternoon will hopefull cover the mini airing on Sunday. It doesn't take too long to place the ads, and did I mention it's FREE? :D

JadedLegend, I won't be around this weekend to remind you. If you can't do it, that's fine :) -- PM me or post a note. Health is wayyyyyyyy more important!

People can adopt a city too, if there is no regional group. Some larger citys have multiple areas, so people can share. Whatever way gets it done (preferably by Friday) works for me, but please read through the classifieds to make sure there aren't any duplicate posts.
