So, I'm still working on this Internet banner advertising (http://www.shriftweb.org/bannerads/) project, and I'm trying to drum up more free advertising.

What I could really use is help gathering URLs of sites dedicated to genre TV (or, hell, any TV) that have advertising options. I'd like to contact the webmasters and do my pretty little begging routine for them to post a Farscape banner in their ad rotation in preparation for new episodes in January.

Other good sites to look are computer-related sites, gaming sites, and comics sites. Just remember that the ones who charge lots for advertising probably aren't gonna give out any free advertising, unless someone has a personal contact there.

If you'd like to write to the webmasters directly and pass on the news, I'd also be grateful.

Shrift--I don't know much about this, but this seems to be a site for tv show info, like episode guides, etc. and this link speaks of advertising there for a minimum of $5.00. I'm listing the ad info page--you can check out the whole site.

Shrift, have you tried the TrekBBS? http://trekbbs.com. There are a ton of people registered there, all sci fi fans. Might be worth a try?

Shrift,

Do you have a list of sites you've already found? Or do you just want people to post here?

The list of currently supporting sites (http://www.shriftweb.org/bannerads/supporting.shtml) is on the banner ads website. So is the list of targeted sites (http://www.shriftweb.org/bannerads/sites.shtml).

And posting URLs here is just fine.
